Skin is the layer of soft and flexible tissues covering the body of a vertebrate animal. It is the most perceptible, largest, and prodigious organ of the human body that extends its deep root inside the human body layering into six levels. The three main functions of the skin are protection, sensation, and regulation.
Any disease or disorder that affects the skin of the human body is known as skin disorder or skin diseases. Skin disorders can be temporary or permanent and may be painful or painless. There are different types of skin disorders. Some common types of disorders are acne, cold sore, hives, Rosacea, carbuncle, latex allergy, Eczema, psoriasis, cellulite, measles, lupus, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, contact dermatitis, Vitiligo, chickenpox, wart, ringworm, and impetigo, etc.
It is also common in children and they can experience much of the conditions same as adults. Children are more likely to get in touch with other children and germs that may develop skin disorders that rarely occur in adults. Many skin problems of childhood disappear with the age, however, children are more likely to inherit permanent skin disorders.
