• Equipped with 16 electronically operated beds including 2 glass isolation chambers, the ICU at Welcare is a technological delight. Two-thirds of the ICU has airtight glass walls receiving cool northern lights. Hence, for most of the day the ICU is lit by natural light and this makes for a unique and lively environment for admitted patients. 
• A very common problem that patients face in the ICU is what is known as the ‘ICU Syndrome.’ wherein the person becomes disoriented with the diurnal cycle and experiences a cluster of serious psychiatric problems. • The ICU is equipped with electrically operated 10-function patient beds and memory foam mattresses imported from Switzerland.
